Esquipulas Birdwatching
Considered one of the most important places for bird watching and photography at Quepos and Manuel Antonio area due to its location on the foothills of Los Santos mountains. This beautiful rural community is about 30 minutes from any hotel at Manuel Antonio but we make several stops on the way to look for birds in gardens, pastures, gallery forests, forest edge or just on the side of the road. Upon arrival to Esquipulas, we will visit a beautiful project managged by a local family equipped with bathrooms and a restaurant surrounded by gardens well planned for the visit of birds, some of the birds common spoted are: White-crested Coquette, Charming Hummingbird, Violet Headed Hummingbird, Violet Sabrewings, White-Tipped Sicklebill, Fiery Billed Aracary, Baird´s Trogon, Turquois Cotinga, King Vulture tanagers, warbles and more.

Ask for an extended tour visiting El Rey marsh and rice fields.
What to bring:
Binoculars, confortable clothes and shoes ( long sleeves and pants hight recomended) neutral colors, water, snacks, camara, hat and extra clothe during the raining season ( may to september)
